It is hard to believe that four years ago Heather and I met for the first time. We met on April 11th, 2012 at the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah where she was being trained to serve in California and I was being trained for Salt Lake City.
The first time I saw Heather, she was funny, kind and loving. Our first or second Monday out of the MTC, she and I both wrote the first letter and sent it on the same day. Since then we exchanged letters during my two years in Salt Lake City. Her letters were always a highlight and brought a sense of light when days were challenging.
On April 1st, 2014 my mission in Salt Lake City was completed and I returned home to Salt Lake City. Life slowly fell into place and Heather and I began reconnecting through texting. After a month and a half of being home, I felt like I needed to fly out to Utah to take Heather on a date. When I first told her I was coming out to Utah, I said I was wanting to visit family and my mission. While we were on our date, I eventually told her the real reason I came out and that I loved her. Since then we decided to get married and enjoy the adventures of life together.
I don't know what I would do without her as she is an amazing wife, mother and my best friend.
