Just like an electronic device, it is not immune to the wear and tear of life. Recently, my microphone (t-mic) for my sound processor snapped. The first time this ever happened to me. Knowing I had a backup t-mic, I was able to quickly swap it but after a week I realized that backup microphone was not working right.
